I was very pleased to speak in support of endorsing Nancy Barba, Bubba Fish and Mayor Yasmine-Imani McMorrin at the June meeting, and then vote for their endorsement.
These three individuals, each in their own way, represent progressive values that have been embraced by this Club and the California Democratic Party. They have each spoken out for workers rights, raising the minimum wage, and making housing a top priority so that people of all income levels can afford to live here. They advocate for better active transportation infrastructure, a Parks Master Plan, and increased funding for the mobile crisis unit. Each has lead a variety of community efforts—efforts that bring meaningful results—with admirable dedication.
Please join me in donating generously to their campaigns. Volunteer to canvass with them, and work hard to get them elected!!
