Culver City Democratic Club members get it done at the monthly Work > Worry Wednesday

Club member Bronwyn Jamrok writes, “… I was happy to join with 46 fellow progressive Americans to write postcards and letters to help register voters and turn out the vote in November. We wrote letters for Senate candidates and just general voter information. Come on America. Let’s do it. No time to waste.”

Host and Club member Patrick Meighan writes, “Once again, I’m super grateful that you came over July 3rd to help save this kinda endangered republic of ours! Just wanted to give you some final totals on the night:

There ended up being 46 of us on hand (a new “Work>Worry Wednesday” record), and together we handwrote 212 Vote Forward letters (also a new record) along with 587 postcards (again, a new record) to swing state voters via Progressive Voter Project and Grassroots Dems HQ.

All told, that was 799 personalized, handwritten pieces of swing voter outreach completed in just one night… that 799 total being— say it with me, now— a new record.

You’re so awesome, and America’s awesome (happy birthday, America!).

I’ll be hosting again on the first Wednesday of August (8/7), but if you can’t wait that long before doing more of this great good work… please join me in volunteering with Grassroots Democrats HQ. They organize volunteer opportunities almost every single day to get Democrats elected up and down the ballot in November. Some of those opportunities you can join over Zoom, others are located in-person here in the LA area. To see some of GDHQ’s volunteer events and opportunities, click here! “

Club members former Culver City Mayor Meghan Sahli-Wells, Pete Rockwell, Cynthia Hart, Eric Paesel, Leah Pressman, Bronwyn and Greg Jamrok were all there writing postcards and letters. RSVP to patsweetpat@gmail.com for the address!
